  4. Go mom go! It is really odd to see my mom on TV when I haven’t seen her in so long. There is a lot of things she doesn’t say, my husband is in the military and we have a 3 year old she never gets to see. We are across the country, it is sad you have to choose between seeing your family or survival. I would like to say we could afford to go out to see her, or send her out here but even military jobs are in trouble. In order to “cut military spending” they lowered tenure for some ranks. My husband is in a specific job they are trying to switch to contracted out. 10 years in to a pension and he has to promote in a job they are getting rid of (meaning no positions available) or they aren’t gonna let him continue. Maybe I would be less upset if my husband didn’t have a flawless record, and there where not other military members less capable who get in trouble who get to keep their jobs. So we are saving every red cent we have to keep my autistic son in therapy. To see my parents struggling, not seeing their only grandchild and having to choose between helping my son or my parents. That is really hard.
